Kellan moved to London, Ontario in 2012 and worked in the tech world with a salary of $50-80k/year. After 4 years of renting and living frugally, he saved $120,000 and bought his first rental property when he was 26 years old - a duplex in London, Ontario. He house-hacked (lived in one side and rented the other side) and lived there for "free".

After this, properties 2 and 3 were BRRRR projects that both returned all of the original investment, and it was off to the races. In just over 2 years, he built a solely-owned, multi-million dollar portfolio consisting of 10 properties with 32 units. Kellan was able to accomplish this while working a full-time job, using the BRRRR investing strategy.
